After spending a month in the V&A Marina living full time onboard our Leopard 45, settling in with the cats, stocking up, getting familiar with spaces....it was time to introduce the cats to sailing.  It will take some time for them to find their sea legs but luckily we have time before our Atlantic crossing in 2023.

We were happy to leave the dock for a more quite time and headed up to Langebaan lagoon and dropped anchor at Oude Post.  Rosie and Terry slept most of the way but once anchored they were very happy to come outside and explore their new background.  We motor sailed most of the day as we rather want to go into the Lagoon at almost high tide or as the tide turned.

We had some beautiful days and nights and others not sooo great, the SE wind can howl this time of the year.  Yachtport  in Saldanha Bay was our saving grace to when the weather were turning really nasty to have a save and quite mooring.

We mostly spend all our time here between Kraalbaai, Oude Post, Shark Bay and Yachtport.  We were blessed to meet so many new yacht friends and we were pretty busy from friends and family visiting and wants to join in our new lifestyle.

We enjoyed bon fires on the beach, had some encounters with snakes on the beach, we wake board, thanks to our friends for borrow us their board.  We even did out SSI Open Ocean divers course busy but overall was the best and relaxing Xmas and New Years in a long time.

January arrived and soon find ourselves it's time to head back to Cape Town.  Stopped over at Dassen Island as the sail back to Cape Town was bumpy.  We visited the Island keeper and had some sun downers on the beach by invitation only and watch the penguins going back to their nests.

Next chapter will be provisioning and then the big one, Atlantic crossing.....stay tuned for more updates.
