It's not an easy decision to pack up and leave friends and family behind to go sailing but yeah we are only living ONCE and time is ticking along.  The time arrived for us to change course and to take a break from our daily routines incl. work. We want to travel and see the world through a different view and a little slower, like the saying goes "on island time" .  We decided to buy a bigger floating home to accommodate our cruising lifestyle and converted from a Monohull to a Catamaran.

In July 2021 we put pen to paper and ordered our Leopard 45.  Yes it's a production yacht, but it made sense for us to buy a Leopard as they get manufactured in Cape Town and was privilege enough to visit the factory 3 times.  Luckily we new exactly which options to tick of the list and which will be after market.  As long as we can run the aircons and have enough freezers, I'll be fine.

But now the hard work starts.....

Selling our dream home, wrapping up business was tough, many days I thought can I do this? And will the cats adapt...of course Markus was in his element as this is exactly what he wants to do.

After selling our home, packing up and moved to Cape Town from Paarl for an interim stay in Clifton, we finally moved onto our new floating home end of September 2022.

A new chapter in our lives has started....
